COTTONCAKE, one of Amsterdam's finest concept stores, is a place where the owners Tessa and Jorinde assemble items they’ve found all over the world and fallen crazy in love with. Women’s clothing, jewellery, art, home accessories, and fine organic bites and coffee are brought together under one roof.

From the very beginning of COTTONCAKE, I was involved in the development of their brand identity and I’ve made them a wide range of marketing materials since. With its bright whitewashed brick interior, COTTONCAKE is like a canvas that displays a globally sourced collection of products. I wanted their visual identity to have a 'gallery' feel to it by keeping it clean and simple. The detailed logo is an original letterpress print, which makes a good contrast with the straightforward design and plain typeface. All elements - from print items to packaging – are made up of carefully chosen premium materials. Love is in the details.
